01 The offer

I would like to be useful to a team at Haras du Pin.

I am an engineer and a former Tunisian endurance rider — Tunisian champion in 2021, winner of the 100 km international at Sfax the same year, and a member of the national team. I have trained and conditioned horses, prepared them for competition, and crewed for a squad at long-distance rides.

I am not asking for a position, a fee, or somewhere to stay. I am offering five days of reliable, unglamorous help — and I will work entirely under your instructions and your procedures.

If you already pay someone to do a job, pay them. I am the extra pair of hands on top, not a replacement for anyone.

What the results say.

Endurance is not a sport you talk your way into. The distance is ridden, and at every gate a vet decides whether the horse goes on. That is where the habits come from.

What carries over from endurance.

Endurance and eventing are different sports. This is precisely the part that carries over.

  • Fitness work built over months, and knowing what a fit horse should feel like.
  • Reading a tired horse — gait, breathing, how fast it comes back down.
  • Working to a clock with a vet waiting at the end of it.
  • Water, ice and hydration discipline through a long, hot day.
  • Leading, holding and walking a horse calmly in a crowd.
  • Early starts, long days, and the logistics that hold a squad together.

05 Support

What I can take off your hands.

Useful from the first minute

No horse contact required, no trust required

  • Carrying and filling water buckets
  • Fetching and hauling ice, and keeping it coming
  • Filling and hanging haynets
  • Mucking out, skipping out, sweeping the aisle
  • Washing rugs, boots and bandages; scrubbing buckets
  • Cleaning tack
  • Food and coffee for you and your groom
  • Errands on and off site — I have my own car
  • French and English with officials, vets and stewards
  • Photographs and video of your horses, if that is useful

Around a horse, if you ask

Only when invited, only under supervision

  • Walking a horse in circles between cooling cycles
  • Sponging and throwing water, under direction
  • Holding a horse while someone else works
  • Standing at a fixed point on the walk back with a bucket
  • Carrying the tack bag back to the stables

What you actually get.

    Someone the environment does not surprise

    Competition mornings, tired horses, a vet with a stethoscope and a clock running. None of that is new to me, and I do not get in the way of it.

    An engineer’s habits

    I plan, I label, I check twice, and I notice what is missing before anyone needs it. That is most of what a good extra pair of hands actually is.

    Someone who asks instead of guessing

    I would rather ask the same question twice than get something wrong once around a horse I do not know.

    Two languages

    French and English, fluently — useful with officials, vets, stewards and the teams boxed next to you.

Whatever the day needs. Early starts and late finishes are normal to me.

My own car. I can also run errands off site.
Accreditation
I know the stables are a controlled zone and that an extra pass is paperwork for you. Tell me what to file, or I stay outside it.

Covered. Proof available on request.
